2nd Gen Ram Bolt-On Traction Bar Kit — Hardcore, heavy-duty, no-rattle traction bars for leaf-spring Rams. Locks down axle wrap and rear-end wander without giving up suspension travel or ground clearance—no welding required. Bar lengths available in 54″, 60″, and 73″ to suit cab/bed and lift setups.
Default finish: Wrinkle Black. Custom colors available via surcharge.
Key Specs
- Compatibility: 2nd Gen Ram leaf-spring rear (AAM axle bracket specific). Works great with rear lift blocks.
- Design: Bolt-on frame & axle brackets; no welding needed. High ground-clearance bracket geometry.
- Bar Lengths: 54″ (fits all), 60″, or 73″ depending on cab/bed and lift height (longer bars benefit higher lifts).
- Joints: 1.25″ chromoly heims with misalignment spacers + bushed DOM sleeves at link arms.
- Finish: Wrinkle Black is the default; custom powder colors available (single/double-step surcharge).
- Frame Bracket: Inside + outside of frame on a standard width section (H-shaped clamping).
- Axle Bracket: 4″ diameter AAM-specific bolt-on with double overlay plates; utilizes U-bolts.
- Benefit: Controls axle wrap/hop; plants tires under power in sand, dirt, or pavement; reduces rear-end wander.

Installation
- Difficulty: Intermediate (drilling + precise alignment)
- No Welding: 100% bolt-on using frame clamps and axle U-bolts.
- Tips: Set ride height, mock up both bars, confirm pinion angle and clearance at full droop/compression, then torque in sequence.
- Works with Lift Blocks: Increases anti-wrap leverage by forming a strong triangle (bars + block + front half of leaf as an upper arm).

- Meets Grade 5 ASTM A449 strength/ductility
- Drill size: 15/32″
- Seating torque: 75 ft-lbs
- In 1/8″ steel: Shear strength ~ 4,773 lbs; Thread pull-out ~ 3,668 lbs (increases with added thickness)
Re-torque all hardware after the first 50–100 miles and after any heavy use.
