Here’s a WalthersMainline boxcar perfect for 1970s and later HO layouts! In response to a growing shortage of suitable boxcars, railroads big and small began updating and expanding with fleets of larger 50′ American Car & Foundry Exterior Post Plate B Boxcars. Introduced in 1971, these earlier versions of the car featured the popular Dreadnaught end, and would remain in general freight service for years afterward. Layout-ready and built tough, our models feature:
